The House of the Northern Gate is a beautiful, exclusive-use Highland coastal estate, where an elegant, luxurious house is complemented by a remarkable setting.  You will feel private, warm, welcomed and inspired by the stunning views. Exclusive use means guests have the entire property to themselves therefore we recommend groups of 4 or more are suitable.

History

Building work commenced in 1894 and the house was completed in 1906. 

 

The Queen Mother was a regular

visitor in the 1950's and the house is referred to in episode 8 of Series 1 of "The Crown" (Netflix).

The house was restored between 2018 and 2021. 

​
